Our class was tasked with creating a model to represent the function of two body systems per group, we were given the Muscular and Nervous systems. We needed to create models showing each systems function and how the two systems correlate. We also needed to explain it to the class so we made a presentation, which is shown below:
CONTENT:
Muscle Contraction: The fibers in your muscles pulling themselves tighter to accomplish a goal
Fast-Twitch Muscles: Muscles used to execute simple task quickly and repetitively
Slow-Twitch Muscles: For tasks that require longer exertion/contraction
Smooth, Skeletal, and Cardiac Muscles: The three main types of muscles in your body
Axons: Thin fibers used to send signals through your body
Neurotransmitters: Chemicals sent through your body as signals
REFLECTION:
I feel proud of the work we did. We had some setbacks with getting our resources but we still managed to provide quite a decent model and presentation, along with gaining a lot of knowledge on how the systems worked. Through this project I learned I am good at coming up with ideas and being able to gather necessary resources for the project. For example I supplied all the materials for one of our muscle models the very next day after we figured out we needed it. Some things I need to improve on are being able to explain my ideas to my group members and keep up fully on what they are doing. I didn't help much with the research on the Nervous system and it took a while to explain my ideas for the models
